Students in the Department of Agriculture at Texas State have countless opportunities to develop their leadership skills by becoming involved in departmental and university level student organizations. These organizations allow students to meet others with similar interests and career goals. Student activities in the department also allow the opportunity to further develop a personal relationship with faculty members. The Department of Agriculture is involved with seven organizations, and students are encouraged to become active in any of the 200+ student organizations and activities across campus.
