Agriculture Faculty Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Dr. Tollie R. Buie, a long-time professor and later chairman of the Texas State Agriculture Department, for freshman students in memory of the retired and deceased faculty members of the Texas State Agriculture Department.  Applicants must meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Be a graduate of a Texas high school
- Eligible for a bachelor’s degree in agriculture
- Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Be a full-time student
 
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship was established for students in the Department of Agriculture or students working toward a degree in some phase of agriculture.  The Department of Agriculture Scholarship Committee selects recipients annually.  Eligibility criteria includes the following:
- A major in agriculture
- Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Be a full-time student
- Successfully complete at least one agriculture class per semester while on scholarship.
 
San Antonio Livestock Exposition Agribusiness Scholarship
This scholarship is valued at $2,000 per year for four years; applicants must meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Be in the top 10 percent of the high school graduating class and/or attain a 24/1050 on the ACT/SAT tests
- Maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher (4.0 scale) while attending Texas State
- Qualify as a full-time student each fall and spring semester
- Be a Texas resident and a graduate of a Texas high school 
 
Star of Texas Scholarship
This scholarship was established for central Texas youth.  Selection criteria includes:
      - GPA of 90 or better
      - Class rank must be in the top 25 percent of their high school class
      - ACT/SAT 18/800 or better
      - Students must show leadership qualities
      - Students must demonstrate financial need (a minimum of 20 percent of selection criteria)
