MANRRS 2014 Conf Birmingham, AL.

Texas State University sent twelve USDA FATE scholarship students from the Department of Agriculture to Birmingham, Alabama for the 2014 National Conference of the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) held March 26 - 30, 2014. The students had an extraordinary opportunity to hear from business professionals, to attend workshops on many topics including professional development and professionalism, to networking with businesses and make professional connections. The group had the opportunity for social interaction with the undergraduate and graduate representatives from across the country.  The students also made closer relationships with each other, all of them felt they had learned much and grown from their experiences on this trip. The students attending this MANRRS Conference were graduate students David Vela and Jessica Espinoza. Undergraduate students Daniela Alcala, Margarita Barco, Abraham Garcia, Daisy Garcia, Richard Garza, Elizabeth Gomez, Shelby Medina, Isamar Sanchez, Carlos Sencion, and Michael Soto.
